As I look back, 2019 has been full of milestones for Ecolab Digital Center. Most notable, we completed a year in existence, moved into a new state-of-the-art facility and we grew to be 180+ people strong organization.
Since our official launch in January 2019, EDC has been diligently building itself to be an aspirational organisation. We have grown from an idea to a well-oiled digital innovation team for Ecolab. We have been successful at tapping into the incredible digital talent available here in Bangalore and India to enable Ecolab’s IT and CDS strategic goals.
EDC achieved this by setting up the right leadership, which helped scale teams across enterprise driving Digital Transformation, Data Intelligence, Process Optimization and Automation.
Thanks to the aforementioned leadership team who have built the right culture of inclusivity that encompasses both global and local teams. We are now working towards being a people’s organisation by setting up HR frameworks and initiatives that will help us scale holistically.
In terms of delivery, our most proud moments have been:
• Successful delivery of end-to-end solution for one of our digital products in food safety
• Brought to life two innovation-driven products to help improve the efficiency of business operations
• Drive data science models to help in pest control and healthcare areas
• Our automation endeavour has been towards bringing efficiency and help realign focus of our business teams on growth.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues from Ecolab and SMC Squared who have supported Ecolab Digital Center in achieving these milestones.
We now have another 366 days to make an impact. Last year same time we were still finding our footing together as a team and now in 2020 I am looking forward to another exciting year where we build business awareness and drive faster innovation. This will help us with our objective to bring value at a much deeper level and to provide optimal solutions for our business teams and end customers.
I would also like for us to focus on skilling and reskilling the teams as needed to better support global business.
Wishing everyone a very happy and fruitful 2020.
